To reclaim and restore our economic, community, and natural systems through innovative, down-to-earth ideas and practices
The Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Marketplace exists to draw out and invigorate the value latent within the members of our community. It serves to economically re-enfranchise our communities and create a more equitable and sustainable society that offers opportunities to pursue happiness.
The ASNM gives folks a chance to share in and support the value and productivity of their communities together in a common space. The ASNM gives its vendors and time bank members the support they need to participate in transforming their local food systems and building their local communities and economies. The ASNM strives to be a symbol of the ingenuity, resilience, togetherness and hope in our communities at a time of continuing, transformational upheaval in our economic, environmental, and social systems.
- Creating and sustaining community through hyper-local craftsmanship and exchange
- Nurturing local economy through Time Banking
- Synchronizing our human needs with our environmental responsibility.
The Xanadu of community marketplaces - an alternate universe where convention can be suspended and our members can pursue the vision of creating a new economic reality that values mutual respect, interdependence, community, and sustainability.
We are the only membership-based neighborhood marketplace in the Los Angeles area that offers participants the chance to trade goods and services for federal dollars, time credits, and other trading tools.
Providing the space for innovative community experimentation, play and paradigm shift by incubating small businesses and hyper-local exchange, through the sharing economy.
